Thanks for checking  out my affiliate page. I’m  fairly new in the business and I must admit,  it’s harder then it looks. Don’t let anyone fool you into believing:

All you have to do is copy paste and you’ll see the money rolling in.

It’s an advertisement ploy to gain new affiliates. Does it work? Sure does. It got me in the beginning.

But the affiliate business can be rewarding. This I know from first hand experience.

I enjoy it because it has allowed me to be my own boss and this is something I’ve wanted to do my entire life. It’s not that I have trouble with authority or bosses.  It’s not even that I don’t find working unrewarding, because I do.

It’s because I got tired of working harder and harder working for tons of middle men, who I have a deep resentment for, who offered no real solutions, just more problems. What I mean is that in my other job I have, which is retail, (you can shake your head after that)

95% of the time corporations, obviously serving it’s own purpose which is understandable, would actually make my job harder and less rewarding. I’m not going into all the nasty details but the one major difference I immediately saw between the affiliate business and my pay per hour job was this:

• Affiliates ask what can I do for you?

• Pay per hour jobs ask what can you do for me?

Now just because the affiliates I’ve dealt with are helpful doesn’t mean they all are. It also does not mean this is an easy business. It’s very competitive, you need to stay on top of things, and most importantly of all:

• You need to develop and build real traffic.

• Build trust with your visitors.

• Give them a reason to come back, tell their friends, and recommend your site.

• Give your readers a unique experience.

• Give your readers  unique content, or offer something to the public which is entertaining enough.

• Then you must keep those readers from clicking out quickly and never visiting your affiliated sources of income.

• Then your affiliate must sell them product, in the end, in order for you to make any money at all.

• You must satisfy the major search engines and understand how to gain that free organic traffic.

Notice the readers come first. The content comes first. Copy and pasting I have found does not work. This site is mainly copy and paste but I had three goals in mind for my roughly $9 month I pay for my hosting.

For inexpensive hosting I’ve been using Hosting24 for sometime now. Great service. Quick response time. Only one crash so far. Which googles cached pages saved my ass. Click on their link it’s worth hosting you own site. Free hosting in my mind, if you want to make money, is a waste of time.

I was thinking about GoDaddy but I preferred the pay as I go plan better. And took forever getting into GoDaddy when I wanted to log in, I wasn’t at impressed with their stats. And Hosting24′s  awstats kick ass. And Godaddy kept trying to add more to the sale, like everyday.  They were alwasy trying to sell me more. And when I tried Godaddy free web hosting and they put their banner up on every one of my pages. That truly pissed me off.

So I went with the host I use today. Go check them if you’re thinking about a hosting site. And since I’m affiliated with them also they allow me to give you a coupon. Just copy, “Save me $2 a month” (no parentheses) and paste it into the coupon and your pricing becomes:

Back to my three goals:

1.) Create a huge directory of articles related to my field with affiliated links attached. This is where I send my readers from my totally unique content site written exclusively by me and my experiences, to avoid duplicate content penalties from the search.  Which they obviously will and have done to this site. for me to generate extreme traffic to this site I will more than have to invest in major PPC ads and some major linking developing.

2.) Enhance my domain name Dialteg™ by purchasing and running, .net, .com, .org. etc…

3) And lastly, for my readers, create a simple interface to learn about dating and relationship. In fact at this time there are well over a hundred articles here but at the moment of writing this I have at least a thousand articles at my disposal. Just don’t have the time to put them up properly:

• Deep keyword linking within the site.

• Manageable categories that make sense so a visitor can find what they are looking for. Men, women, skills, relationships, dating.
• Structured tags that give the reader another way to find the information they seek.

I’m sure you get the picture there. Sure it’s a copy paste site but I choose to put up every post exactly the same and that takes time.

• First I create the page by copying from my affiliated source.

• Second I read the article to gain more knowledge in my field.

• Third it may spark an idea for a unique post at my .com site.So I write something down to remind me.

• Fourth I create keywords that are directly related to what a reader may look for AND FIND when they land on that article. Which is a lot tougher than it sounds.

• Fifth I add simple tags that go along with the articles keywords.

• Sixth I deep link by going through the keywords and finding related posts that may possibly have those exact keyword in the URL and/or in the post.

• Seventh I add my affiliate link to a redirect to make it harder for someone to steal my affiliated links, and to also enhance the keywords associated with the post.

• Eight add links from other sources outside the site. I try to find exact relevance to my keywords again. And to make sure it has something to do with the article or post.

• Ninth  I check it all over, perhaps add a banner.

• Tenth create, or add it to a category that makes sense for the reader to get exactly what they are looking for.

Then I hit publish.

Yeah, it’s a copy and paste business. Haha!

It’s real work, but I also feel it’s really worth it.

And that’s just the beginning. Let me tell you from experience, it can be a total waste of time with no money made at all.

I’m not writing this page to tell you all about the affiliate business. It’s just not something I am passionate about. I prefer to write about my passion and my field, which is dating and relationships. That is where my time and energy is spent for my niche.

I’m writing this because this site is not a classic affiliate, it was not my intention. But since my top affiliates I put trust in I suggest if you’re n the market fro starting your own affiliate sites you can check out the ones I’ve had great success with. Or even check out the ones, for one reason or another, I have had no success with.

Great for banners. Text links. Encrypting your link. Linking to particular pages. Easy to navigate. Not so great with content. Careful though if you don’t make money for them, the will cut you off. I have had great success and confidence in my privacy with them but a tough time selling the products I have chosen. Except for Hot Topic Media which has just ported itself to Commission Junction.

So for Carlos Xuma his resources, banners, tracking, commissions, are all there for you. I also use VinDicarlo who also is located at  Infusionsoft. Read the information they have supplied to me because they are in the business to help people sell their products. They have a ton of site you can also check out to promote. The usual tracking. Typical interface. It can be tough to manage your way around the affiliate section when you to promote other sites but I found with a little practice, I just had to remind myself. ONE AT A TIME. Other wise I ended up with way too many windows open. Too much multitasking.

My affiliation with Plimus

Plimus is perfect if you plan on doing  your own selling pages. You can even add warranties and create great selling pages or even great pre-selling pages that  lead your reader to the actual selling page first. Tons and tons of products to choose from.

They offer some great tools but you might have to take the time to learn how to do it. If you’re looking for easy banners to put you will have to go to the web site of the product you plan on promoting for that. Most of the mhave it. It’s not a one stop affiliate.

It contain tons and tons of products which you have to apply for and depending on who it is you’re applying to, will get back to you and let you know if you have been approved.

Clickbank

Perhaps one of the best known, well at least it was the first I found when searching for affiliates. They offer a wide range of products to promote. You can even build ads that look just like Google ads.  Click bank is easy quick, great tracking for all your ads. There’s a catch though, you have to go right to the source of the product you are promoting to get banners or articles to use.

Now the bad news I noticed right away with click bank is the products they do offer reminded me of late night infomercial material. That I didn’t like. But after searching for a while I was able to find some good quality product I was more than happy to promote. The products I don’t put my personal recommendation behind I use for banners, or text ads, and let my readers decide for themselves if they want to spend their money.
