You see in me what you feel inside.

I know that sounds a little ‘new age‘, but that’s how I see it and there’s nothing you can do to change it.

Hero’s save people from outside events we have no control over. Which is something I most certainly have not done with you. In fact I did the opposite. I gave you the choice and you chose for better of for worse. When things became worse and you started to feel like you made the wrong decision…

You began to save yourself by taking those tiny steps neeed. You refused to ‘take the escalator‘ or the easy way out and decided for yourself to stand tall and let the cool breeze of life pass over your body. Sometimes that’s nice when we’re a little warm and admiring the view. Sometimes it’s scary as we hang on the edge looking down and that same cool breeze sends shivers up our body.

But you stood there… not me.

I didn’t catch you when you felt like you were falling. I didn’t jump in front of a bus and push you out of the way.

I offered my opinions, my views, and yes I have shown you my infectious optimistic attitude and sometime brutal honesty.

But again, you stood there, not me.

You’re my hero Lois because in life, you really do save people.
You’re my hero Lois because you and only you, can make the conscious decision to keep moving forward and stepping over any obstacle in your way.

You’re my hero Lois and don’t you ever forget it.
